Dual Fuel Systems

A dual fuel system is a combination of a heat pump and a full-sized furnace. This type of system uses the heat pump to heat your home when the weather is mild, but still cold. This keeps you from burning gas or oil in your furnace. is more efficient than burning gas or oil.

When the temperature turns colder, the heat pump shuts down and the furnace heats your home. Heat pumps can heat your home at these colder temperatures, but they aren't as effective.
